Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economic Development Heydar Babayev has met with a delegation headed by Katalin Szili, Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary reports newswire APA.
The Ministry of Economic Development said issues on economic relations and prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Hungary were discussed during the meeting. The meeting highlighted the existence of real opportunities for cooperation in the fields of energy, services and other spheres, as well as in more efficient use of existing capabilities.
Katalin Szili said that Hungary is interested in expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan in various fields, especially in energy, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, as well as in the Nabucco Project.
In October Hungary will open a diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan, which is very important for the development of economic ties between the two countries. Katalin Szili noted that work is under way in Hungary to set up an intergovernmental commission and underlined the importance of the Commission for the acceleration of relations between Hungary and Azerbaijan. The parties expressed their readiness to provide all possible support in expanding economic ties. (apa.az)
