Printing company Állami Nyomda Nyrt announced on Monday it has won a Ft 1 billion tender to print ballots and other informational materials for Hungary's parliamentary, local council and minority council elections this year.
Állami Nyomda won the tender in a bid with peer Pátria Nyomda. The contract requires the companies to produce 196 different types of documents, or a total of 17 million, put together in 11,000 different packages. The companies must also provide for the secure transport of the documents.
Állami Nyomda had net profit of Ft 859 million in 2005, down 22.1% from 2004, according to preliminary figures. Revenue rose a slight 0.4% to Ft 11.557bn. The company made Ft 900 million in investments in 2005. Állami Nyomda was the only new listing on the Budapest Stock Exchange (BSE) in 2005, floating its stock on December 8 as a category A issuer.
