Minister of National Development Tamás Fellegi has appointed Ferenc Szarvas as the president and CEO of Hungarian state-owned railways MÁV, the ministry said on Thursday.
Szarvas, at present CEO of Hungary's Government Debt Management Agency ÁKK, will take over as MÁV head on August 1.
Current MÁV president-CEO Miklós Andrási will leave his post by mutual agreement as of July 31, the ministry said.
Fellegi also recalled the members of MÁV's board of directors and supervisory board as of July 31, and will appoint new members to the boards by August.
Szarvas's earlier positions included the president of Hungarian airlines Malév, leading positions at several Hungarian banks and deputy CEO of the former state assets manager ÁPV. (MTI-ECONEWS)
