Wine-growers of Hungary's Danube region eye China

Vintners of Hungary's Danube wine-growing region hope for a raised profile in China after their best wines were served at a business forum in Budapest on Saturday organized for a visit by Chinese premier Wen Jiabao, state farm products promoter Agrármarketing Centrum said on Monday.

The organizers of the forum, at which more than 600 people participated, were served wines exclusively from the Danube region.

"The best wines of the region's vineyards took their rightful place [at the event]," said vintner János Frittmann.

The Danube region produces about 40% of Hungary's total wine output.
