Power industry companies Elmű-Émász, ABB and electronics company Észak Budai established an organization called e-community that aims to promote the use of electric vehicles.
Electricity distributors Elmű and Émász are coordinating e-community with Citroen, Mitsubishi and Peugeot as strategic partners. Ernst and Young is among the e-community supporters. Guest members of the organization are Budapest water company Fővárosi Vízművek, the Boston Consulting Group, PricewaterhouseCoopers and City Taxi.
The number of electric vehicles in Hungary is expected to reach 25,000 by 2020, she said.
