  Szallas.hu revenues up almost 31% in 2017

  

  Online booking service Szallas.hu posted HUF 3.4 billion revenues in 2017, up by 30.9% compared to 2016, the company said on Thursday. The value of online booking deals managed by the site was HUF 23.5 bln as the number of booked nights reached 882,000.

  Szallas.hu acquires Polish peer

  

  Hungaryʼs Szallas.hu, an online service for booking commercial accommodation, has acquired Polish peer Spanie.pl; the two companies are expected to merge by September this year, Hungarian news agency MTI reported Wednesday.

  For SMEs, Facebook takes most ad spend, but questions grow

  

  Research by marketing agency RG Stúdió shows that Hungarian SMEs say they need to spend more to reach their target groups on Facebook. Most companies consider Facebook the most important advertising channel for Christmas: 77.3% of respondents said they will spend as much money on adverts as last year on Facebook.
