More than two-thirds of Hungarian 17-year-olds have bank account

More than two-thirds, precisely 83% of Hungarian 17-year-olds already have their own bank account, a survey commissioned by financial services company TakarékPont shows.

Among 25-year-olds surveyed, just 43% said they had a bank account when they were 17.


The survey showed two-thirds of 14- to 17-year-olds opened their first bank account on the advice of family members.


The representative survey was of 500 people between the ages of 14 and 32.
