About 35% of Hungarians plan to buy household appliances in 2011, up from 19% in 2010, according to a survey by Magyar Cetelem Bank, which specializes in consumer credit.
About 22% of Hungarians plan to buy computers and other IT accessories this year, up from 12% in 2010. The percentage of Hungarians that plan to buy furniture rose to 22% from 18% and the percentage who plan to buy entertainment electronics climbed from 11% to 16%. About 20% of Hungarians plan to buy home improvement materials, up from 15%. Vehicle purchases are planned by 9% of households in 2011 up from 6% last year.
