The towns of Győrszemere and Tenyő (NW Hungary) have won HUF 1.8 billion in European Union and state grant money to support the construction of a more than HUF 2 billion sewerage, Győrszemere mayor Gyula Horváth told journalists on Thursday.

The funding will cover 84% of the cost of the investment. The rest will come from local residents.

The project is to start in the autumn.
