Outstanding stock of National Bank of Hungary two-week zero-coupon bonds will reach a record level of HUF 2,590.7 billion on Wednesday after banks subscribed HUF 1,350.3 billion of the papers, intended to soak up excess liquidity on the market, at an auction on Tuesday.
The bids on Tuesday exceed Wednesday's expiries by HUF 99.5 billion. A week earlier, banks subscribed HUF 1,240.4 billion of the bonds.
The stock of two-week NBH bonds rose over 1,000 billion at the beginning of December and over HUF 2,000 billion in mid-April. The lowest stock has been in the year to date was HUF 1,442.1 billion. (MTI-Econews)
