Gains by oil and gas company MOL and drug maker Richter lifted the Budapest Stock Exchange's main BUX index 0.81% to 22,551.97 on Monday.
MOL climbed 3.12% to HUF 22,300 on turnover of HUF 3.2 billion. Drug maker Richter gained 0.49% to HUF 39,895 on turnover of HUF 597 million.
OTP Bank lost 0.88% to HUF 5,650 on turnover of HUF 6.2 billion or about 54% of the HUF 11.5 billion session total.
Magyar Telekom dipped 0.19% to HUF 536 on turnover of HUF 1.1 billion.
The bourse's mid-cap BUMIX index advanced 0.54% to 1,987.25.
Elsewhere in the region, Warsaw's WIG 20 was down 0.74% but the Prague PX was up 1.06%.
Western Europe's biggest indices were mixed late on Monday. London's FTSE 100 was up 0.10% and Frankfurt's DAX rose 0.24% but the CAC 40 in Paris was down 0.22%. (MTI-Econews)
