Hungarian oil and gas group MOL said on Wednesday vice chairman Sándor Csányi sold 12,453 shares in the company at a price of Ft 14,136 ($76.81) each on the Budapest bourse on Tuesday.
It said Csányi, chief executive of Hungary's top lender OTP Bank, retained no shares in MOL following the transaction. MOL shares finished trade at Ft 13,840 on the Budapest Stock Exchange on Tuesday. Their year-high was Ft 28,695 according to Reuters data.
Trade in shares of oil and gas company MOL were suspended for several minutes around 10:00am on Wednesday after they plunged more than 10%. Stock exchange rules require trade of shares that drop more than 10% from their previous close to be suspended for up to ten minutes. MOL shares traded at Ft 12,700 at 10:28am, down 8.24%.
