The future of a business is determined by which region it is located in, according to a research co-conducted by Coface Hungary and daily Világgazdaság.
The fastest growing enterprises are located in central Hungary. As few as four of the top twenty are from Pest county, the rest are from Budapest. The other fastest growers are located in Győr-Moson-Sopron, Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, Baranya, Fejér, and Bács-Kiskun counties.
67% of the 140 companies listed are exclusively privately owned, while 29% is only registered in Hungary. Total capital increased by 23% (from Ft 95.8 billion in 2004 to Ft 144.8 billion at the end of 2006).
Revenues grew by an annual 45% from Ft 330 billion in 2004 to Ft 480 billion in 2005, and another 45% to Ft 650 billion in 2006. Per company revenues rose from Ft 2.36 billion to Ft 4.64 billion in three years.
There are not too many companies to keep up business and develop through twenty years, said Zoltán Dercze, country director of Coface Hungary. However, as the research shows, there are exceptions. (Napi Gazdaság)
