Group 4 buys safety training company Tuin BV for €1.8 mln

Group 4 Securicor Plc, the world's second-largest security company, bought Tuin BV of the Netherlands for €1.8 million ($2.4 million) to strengthen its position in health and safety training.

Tuin BV, based in Almere, will be merged with Group 4 Securicor Plc's Ricas BV unit, the company said today in a stock exchange statement. Group 4, based in Gatwick, England, has spent £60 million (€89 million; $117 million) this year on acquisitions in developing countries such as Mozambique and Saudi Arabia to accelerate growth, and an additional £25 million pounds (€37 million) on small, bolt-on deals, Chief Executive Officer Nick Buckles said December 12.
