Getronics to begin providing electronic money-transfer services

Hungarian IT company Getronics Magyarország will begin providing electronic money-transfer outsourcing services, Getronics CEO Péter Rátkai announced on Tuesday.

Rátkai said that Getronics has developed its own HUF 100 million (€360,193) electronic money-transfer center capable of conducting 3 million – 4 million transactions per month, noting that the company has also produces its own cards and plans to process daily transactions itself.

Rátkai remarked that banks will no longer command a monopoly on money-transfer services, which, according to the Getronics CEO, have become part of the IT domain. (MTI-Econews)
