Forint weakens on interbank market

The forint weakened on Monday morning's interbank market, trading at 276.40 to the euro at 10 a.m., compared to a Friday-afternoon rate of 275.38.

Dealers attribute the forint's weakening to a rise in risk-aversion stemming from growing concerns regarding the financial stability of the euro-zone and the publication of weak US jobs data.

The forint also weakened to the Swiss franc and the US dollar on Monday morning, trading at 248.32 to the CHF and 195.46 to the USD at 10 a.m., compared to Friday-afternoon rates of 246.74 and 193.58, respectively.
