New Zealand’s steel roof tiles maker Fletcher will construct its new European center in Várpalota, the company said.
The second biggest company of New Zealand is investing €15 million in the first phase through its subsidiary, AHI Roofing. Besides the 12,000-square-meter factory, the 3.5-hectare plot will also include a logistics center. Production will start in the fall of 2009 with staff of 60, running up to 80 or 90 by 2010, said Tony O’Brien commercial director of the company. Six million steel roof tiles will be produced in Várpalota every year, once the facility is operational. (NG 3)
