First Japanese-Hungarian venture capital fund gets permit

Hungarian financial market regulator PSzÁF has issued an operating permit for Elan SBI Capital Partners Tőkealapkezelő, the first Japanese-Hungarian venture capital fund, business daily Napi Gazdaság reported.

Elan SBI Capital partners is owned by BI Ven Holdings (60%), a unit of Japan's SBI Holdings, and MFB Invest (40%), a subsidiary of the state-owned Hungarian development bank MFB.

The venture capital fund is the first established in the region by a private investor and a state-owned bank. (MTI – Econews)
