Erste Bank announced Tuesday it will keep offering property-covered foreign currency denominated loans for micro-enterprises.
The bank said that proposed regulations prohibiting foreign-currency-denominated loans submitted to Parliament show that they would only affect retail contracts for private individuals.
The respective bill will come into force a day after its official announcement. The restriction is valid only for contracts signed after the announcement instead of with retroactive effect as was planned earlier.
Erste Bank has accepted mortgage claims for forint-based loans only since July 1. (MTI-ECONEWS)
