The Budapest Stock Exchange's main BUX index opened down 0.17% at 22,643.78 on Friday after US and Asian markets closed down on worries over US growth data.
OTP Bank lost 1.68% to HUF 5,260, oil and gas company MOL fell 0.22% to HUF 20,130, drug maker Richter rose 1.27% to HUF 45,590 and Magyar Telekom was unchanged at HUF 686.
The BUX closed up 0.77% at 22,681.39 on Thursday, on turnover of HUF 9.6 billion.
Investors will be awaiting the USD GDP data on the BSE on Friday, just as on global exchanges, the analysts interviewed by MTI said.
Szabolcs Kun of QUAESTOR said he expected a weak opening and quiet trading after US and Asian markets closed lower. He said trading on the BSE will be influenced by the US GDP data on Friday. (MTI-ECONEWS)
