The Budapest Stock Exchange's main BUX index rose 0.17% to 21,979.85 at noon on Monday, paring gains after opening at 0.43%.
OTP Bank gained 0.48% to HUF 5,055, oil and gas company MOL advanced 0.77% to HUF 19,650, drug maker Richter lost 0.73% to HUF 44,275 and Magyar Telekom was unchanged at midday at HUF 665.
Share turnover amounted to HUF 3.24bn for the morning.
Major European share indices were mixed, with the FTSE falling 0.07%, Frankfurt's DAX losing 0.28% and the CAC-40 in Paris gaining 0.10%.
Elsewhere in the CEE region, Warsaw's WIG-20 rose 0.30% and Prague's PX-50 gained 0.80%. (MTI-ECONEWS)
