The Budapest Stock Exchange's main BUX index fell 0.12pc to 21,928.54 at noon on Monday, paring its losses after opening down 0.34pc as Western European and regional share indices were all advancing.
OTP Bank dropped 1.80pc to HUF 4,900, oil and gas company MOL rose 1.33pc to HUF 20,570, drug maker Richter was flat at HUF 42,850 and Magyar Telekom lost 0.30pc to HUF 665.
Share turnover amounted to HUF 5bn for the morning.
Major Western European share indices were all up, with London's FTSE rising 0.54pc, Frankfurt's DAX advancing 0.29pc and the CAC-40 in Paris gaining 0.88pc.
Elsewhere in the CEE region, Warsaw's WIG-20 rose 0.61pc and Prague's PX-50 advanced 0.49pc. (MTI-ECONEWS)
