The Budapest Stock Exchange's blue-chip BUX index opened Tuesday trade down 0.61% at 21,783.65.
BSE blue-chips, which account for more than 90% of the BUX index's point value, stood as follows at Tuesday's opening bell:
Oil and natural gas company MOL was down 1.21% at HUF 20,350;
OTP Bank was down 1.10% at HUF 4,850;
Magyar Telekom was down 0.30% at HUF 658;
Drug company Richter was up 0.34% at 42,995.
Szabolcs Kun of QUAESTOR predicted that the BUX index would drop moderately during the forenoon portion of the Budapest Stock Exchange's Tuesday session, adding that U.S. housing data due on Tuesday afternoon, Central European Time, could exercise an influence on the course of trade at the BSE.
On Monday, the BUX closed down 0.17% to 21,917.47%. (MTI-ECONEWS)
