The Budapest Stock Exchange's main BUX index fell 2.46% to 21,546.20 at noon on Monday as all major share indices fell on European stock exchanges.
OTP Bank dropped 3.18% to HUF 5,325, oil and gas company MOL lost 3.75% to HUF 20,550, drug maker Richter fell 0.54% to HUF 37,095 and Magyar Telekom dropped 1.64% to HUF 541.
Share turnover amounted to HUF 7.6 billion for the morning.
Major Western European indices were all down, with London's FTSE losing 0.90%, Frankfurt's DAX dropping 1.06% and the CAC-40 in Paris falling 1.19%.
Elsewhere in the CEE region, Warsaw's WIG-50 lost 1.32% and Prague's PX-50 fell 0.61%.
