The Budapest Stock Exchange's blue-chip BUX index closed Thursday trade down 1.73% to 18,166.97, sustaining a negative correction of its previous-session gain of over 3.5%.
The BUX lost 319.08 points on a composite exchange turnover of HUF 12.43 billion, fluctuating in a 2.8% range between an intra-session high at the index's opening mark of 18,531.11 and an intra-session low of 18,010.99 at 4:00 p.m.
BSE blue-chips stood as follows at Thursday's closing bell:
Oil and gas company MOL lost 3.26% to HUF 16,495 on a turnover of HUF 2.93 billion;
OTP Bank declined 2.17% to HUF 4,188 on an exchange-high turnover of HUF 7.66 billion;
Magyar Telekom lost 1.37% to HUF 505 on a turnover of HUF 999 million;
Drug company Richter declined 0.03% to HUF 34,990 on a turnover of HUF 599 million.
The BSE Big Four generated 98.1% of the exchange's composite Thursday turnover.
