The Budapest Stock Exchange's main BUX index rose 1.47% to 22,267.10 at noon on Wednesday, advancing with peers in Western Europe and the CEE region.
OTP Bank gained 2.89% to HUF 5,062, oil and gas company MOL advanced 0.68% to HUF 19,940, drug maker Richter rose 2.28% to HUF 44,995 and Magyar Telekom was unchanged at HUF 688.
Share turnover amounted to HUF 5.4bn for the morning.
Major European share indices were all up, with London's FTSE rising 1.57%, Frankfurt's DAX gaining 1.29% and the CAC-40 in Paris advancing 1.82%.
Elsewhere in the CEE region, Warsaw's WIG-20 was up 1.48% and Prague's PX-50 rose 1.31%. (MTI)
