The Budapest Stock Exchange blue chip BUX index closed Friday trade up 0.1% at 22,702 as signs of Franco-German accord regarding a new support package for debt-ridden Greece boosted sentiment among investors throughout Europe.
The BUX gained 27 on a composite exchange turnover of HUF 13.5 billion, fluctuating in a 1.3% range between an intra-session low of 22,510 at 10:00 am and an intra-session high of 22,797 at 12:45 pm.
The four blue chips stood as follows at Friday's closing bell:
Magyar Telekom rose 0.5% to HUF 555 on a turnover of HUF 1.4 billion.
OTP Bank advanced 0.4% to HUF 5,801 on an exchange-high turnover of HUF 5.84 billion.
Oil and gas company MOL fell 0.3% to HUF 22,200 on a turnover of HUF 4.4 billion.
Drugmaker Richter fell 0.1% to HUF 36,075 on a turnover of HUF 1.28 billion.
