The Budapest Stock Exchange blue chip BUX index closed Tuesday trade an inch lower at 22,482.63 after Hungarian oil and gas group MOL's steep losses wiped out gains by other blue chips.
The BUX fell slightly on a turnover of HUF 19.82 billion, fluctuating in a 1.37% range between an intra-session high of 22,656 at 9:20 am and an intra-session low of 22,346 at 3:10 pm.
The four blue chips stood as follows at Tuesday's closing bell:
MOL plunged 3.3% to HUF 21,250 on a turnover of HUF 8.86 billion.
Magyar Telekom surged 4.5% to HUF 580 on a turnover of HUF 1.74 billion.
OTP Bank advanced 0.9% to HUF 5,750 on a turnover of HUF 8.47 billion.
Drugmaker Richter gained 0.4% closing at HUF 36,285 on a turnover of HUF 578 million.
