The Budapest Stock Exchange main BUX index finished the session on Tuesday up 0.4% at 21,354, rising on easing concerns about the eurozone debt crisis in the run-up to an EU summit and boosted in the afternoon by data that showed US housing starts and building permits up.
OTP Bank advanced 0.4% to HUF 5,251 on turnover of HUF 11.2 billion or two-thirds of the HUF 16.8 billion session total.
Oil and gas company MOL jumped 0.7% to HUF 20,355 on turnover of HUF 2.9 billion.
Magyar Telekom rose 0.8% to HUF 538 on turnover of HUF 1.5 billion.
Drugmaker Richter fell 0.2% to HUF 36,915 on turnover of HUF 554 million.
