The Budapest Stock Exchange BUX index fell 0.6% by noon on Wednesday as blue chip indices throughout Europe tracked overnight declines on Wall Street and bourses in Asia.
The BUX moved into afternoon trade at 23,018 on a turnover of HUF 5.1 billion.
The blue chips stood as follows at Wednesday noon:
OTP Bank fell 0.9% to HUF 5,955 on an exchange-high turnover of HUF 3.7 billion.
Drugmaker Richter was down 0.9% at HUF 33,600 on a turnover of HUF 428 million.
Oil and gas company MOL was off 0.4% at HUF 23,590 on a turnover of HUF 726 million.
Magyar Telekom slipped 0.2% to HUF 554 on a turnover of HUF 106 million.
