The Budapest Stock Exchange's main BUX index fell 2.89% to 16,294.60 on Monday as major share indices were falling in Western Europe and the CEE region.
OTP Bank dropped 3.34% to HUF 3,615 on turnover of HUF 3.7 billion, oil and gas company lost 4.04% to HUF 14,495 on turnover of HUF 2.7 billion, drug maker Richter fell 1.23% to HUF 32,100 on turnover of HUF 0.8 billion and Magyar Telekom closed down 3.25% at HUF 476 on turnover of HUF 0.5 billion.
Share turnover amounted to HUF 8 billion for the session.
The bourse's mid-cap BUMIX index lost 1.23% to 1,382.50.
Major Western European share indices were all down, with London's FTSE falling 1.70%, Frankfurt's DAX dropping 2.97% and the CAC-40 in Paris losing 2.56%.
Elsewhere in the CEE region, Warsaw's WIG-20 fell 2.46% and Prague's PX-50 dropped 4.53%.
