The Budapest Stock Exchange main BUX index rose 0.6% to 23,146.33 on Tuesday as all of the blue chips but oil and gas company MOL advanced.
The BUX was lifted, along with other European indices, by better-than-expected US retail sales data published in the afternoon, Central European Time.
OTP Bank rose 1.5% to HUF 5,930 on a turnover of HUF 4 billion, or about 55% of the HUF 7.3 billion session total.
Oil and gas company MOL dipped 0.4% to HUF 23,090 on a turnover of HUF 1.1 billion.
Drugmaker Richter climbed 1.2% to HUF 35,300 on a turnover of HUF 911 million.
Magyar Telekom rose 0.4% to HUF 574 on a turnover of HUF 790 million.
