The Budapest Stock Exchange's blue-chip BUX index closed Friday trade up 0.43% to 19,309.94 on light turnover of HUF 6.82 billion, fluctuating in an exceptionally narrow, 0.66% range between an intra-session high of 19,330.02 at 9:15 a.m. and an intra-session low of 19,201.70 shortly after 4:00 p.m.
BSE blue-chips stood as follows at Friday's closing bell:
OTP Bank gained 0.98% to HUF 4,035 on an exchange-high turnover of HUF 4.11 billion as the European Central Bank's auction of €530 billion to commercial banks earlier this week continued to provide OTP with support;
Drug company Richter advanced 0.60% to HUF 38,830 on a turnover of HUF 395 million;
Oil and gas company MOL gained 0.53% to HUF 18,900 on a turnover of HUF 775 million;
Magyar Telekom lost 0.52% to HUF 577 on a turnover of HUF 1.04 billion.
The BSE Big Four generated 92.7% of the exchange's composite Friday turnover.
