The Budapest Stock Exchange blue chip BUX index closed Tuesday trade up 0.6% at 23,163, rising along with main western European indices on a positive correction of recent losses.
The BUX advanced 126 on a composite exchange turnover of HUF 11.31 billion, fluctuating in a 1.1% range between an intra-session low at the index's 9:00 am opening mark of 23,019 and an intra-session high of 23,270 at 9:50 am.
The blue chips stood as follows at Tuesday's closing bell:
Magyar Telekom gained 1.8% to HUF 555 on a turnover of HUF 871 million.
Oil and gas company MOL advanced 1.5% to HUF 23,695 on a turnover of HUF 1.98 billion.
OTP Bank rose 0.3% to HUF 6,010 on a turnover of HUF 6 billion;
Drugmaker Richter fell 1.4% to HUF 33,910 on a turnover of HUF 1.82 billion.
