Bourse to introduce closing price trading period

The Budapest Stock Exchange will introduce a four-minute “closing price trading” period at the end of market sessions from October 1, the bourse said.

During the period, which will start at 4:36 pm, the close of regular trading, and end at 4:40 pm, traders may conclude transactions at the closing price of shares. The session will not open with an empty order book, rather orders in the previous period that satisfy the criteria of the closing price trading period may be transferred to the order book.

The introduction of the new session will not affect the calculation of indices. (MTI – Econews)
