Bookline to list shares in August

Bookline.hu Zrt, an online bookshop that is expanding in the region, will list its shares on the Budapest Stock Exchange (BÉT) next month.

Bookline will list existing shares worth Ft 327.8 million, Chairman György Marffy told Bloomberg in a telephone interview in Budapest today. The company doesn't plan on selling new shares this year, he added.
”We are also working on expanding our portfolio to electronics, CDs and DVDs, and open our retail business in Slovakia later this year,” Marffy said.

Bookline, which wants to boost sales to Ft 1.5 billion from Ft 600 million forint in 2005, was among four companies granted a total Ft 87.8 million in government listing subsidies last year as Hungary tries to bolster its stock market.
