Aviva Life Insurance Zrt will hire 500 dismissed government employees, daily Magyar Hírlap said, citing Labor Minister Péter Kiss.
Aviva will also provide training for former public workers based on an agreement it signed with the ministry. The newspaper didn't say when Aviva would hire the workers.
Spar Hungary Kft earlier signed an agreement to hire 200 dismissed government employees every year and Magyar Suzuki Zrt will employ 600 former public sector workers. Budapest Bank Nyrt offered to hire 600 to 700 and BKV Zrt also offered several dozen jobs, Magyar Hírlap said.
The government is dismissing about 7,000 public sector employees this year and plans to fire 6,000 more next year, the newspaper said.
