Representatives of European employers organisations and unions met for talks in Gödöllő, near Budapest, on Monday.
Hungarian representatives at the meeting included János Borsik of the Association of Autonomous Trade Unions, Péter Pataky, head of the National Association of Hungarian Trade Unions, István Gaskó of the LIGA trade union association and László Varga of the Trade Unions' Cooperation Forum(SZEF), MTI learnt.
Representatives of Hungary's EU presidency as well as of the countries that will next take the rotating presidency, Poland and Denmark, were at the meeting, as was László Andor, European Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion.
The informal talks are to last for two days. Employment policy affecting young people was the subject of the first session at the meeting. (MTI – Econews)
