Vestas turbines lead Hungary's wind power market

Wind turbines made by Denmark's Vestas account for 41.5% of the wind power capacity in Hungary, more than turbines made by any other company, NRG Systems, Vestas's exclusive distributor in Hungary, told MTI on Friday.

The 15 Vestas wind turbines in Hungary have combined capacity of 37.8MW.

NRG Systems did not reveal the cost of the turbines, but MTI learnt that wind power capacity costs HUF 350 million – HUF 400 million per MW and investors usually recoup their money within ten years.

Vestas has made 35,000 wind turbines or one-fifth of the global total. (MTI – Econews)
