TVO says Finland nuclear reactor delayed to 2012

The new nuclear reactor French Areva is building for the Finnish utility TVO in Olkiluoto, western Finland, will be further delayed to 2012, the TVO project director said.

“The commercial start is now estimated in 2012 and the delay is because of concrete building,” project director Jouni Silvennoinen told Reuters.

TVO also said Areva would pay any extra costs arising from the delay. (Reuters)
