The Prague Energy Exchange (PXE) will start trading Hungarian electricity from March 1, 2009 on its futures market, PXE Exchange Chamber Chairman Petr Koblic announced.
Koblic said they offered this platform in order for brokers to have access to as many markets as possible through one trading interface covering the CEE region.
PXE Chief Secretary David Kucera said brokers will be able to sign one-, three- and twelve-month deals on Hungarian electricity products.
Koblic said PXE is negotiating with the Hungarian electricity wholesaler MVM , Hungarian oil and natural gas company MOL and other energy concerns about joining PXE. Brokers will be required to be a clearing partner of grid operator Mavir in order to join the exchange. (MTI – Econews)
