Power provision continues to improve in 2008

The quality and dependability of power provision improved in Hungary in 2008, though to a lesser degree than it did between 2000 and 2007, the Hungarian Energy Office (MEH) reported.

The energy office's data showed that there were 1.61 power outages per consumer in Hungary in 2008, compared to 1.77 per consumer in 2006, while the average duration of these outages was 111 minutes in 2008, compared to 128 minutes in 2006.

The average duration of power outages in Germany was 21.9 minutes in Germany. (MTI – Econews)
