Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsány and János Kóka, who chairs the Hungarian parliament's special Nabucco Committee, agreed to jointly advocate the necessity of European Union pre-financing for the Nabucco project during the Nabucco Summit to take place in Budapest.
Kóka said they will also propose setting up an International Nabucco Committee to represent the interests of the region.
Kóka said he expects the summit to strengthen the political commitment of the countries involved in the project as well as that of the European Union. Though Nabucco is one of the EU's several energy projects, it is the most important for the region, Kóka added. (MTI – Econews)
