The state-owned Paks Nuclear Power Plant targets pre-tax profit of HUF 25.1 billion ($114 million) in 2009, well over the 2008 figure, helped in part by a project to boost capacity of the blocks, CEO János Suli told MTI on Thursday.
Paks had 2008 after-tax profit of HUF 18.4 billion, which was paid as dividend, Suli said. The company closed the year with total assets of HUF 174 billion ($796 million).
Paks sold its electricity at an average price of HUF 10.16 per kWh in 2008. The company targets an average sale price of HUF 10.71 per kWh in 2009, still the lowest price in the country. (MTI-Econews)
