Hungarian oil and gas company MOL and its Croatian unit INA have found gas in a joint exploration project near Croatia's border with Hungary, INA said.
Measurements at a well on the Croatian side of the area at a depth of 3,170 meters indicated gas flow of 370,000m3/day and some condensate, confirming commercial gas reserves, INA said.
MOL and INA started exploring the Drava Basin on the Hungarian-Croatian border in 2006. The companies agreed to split the costs and production 50-50.
MOL owns 47% of INA and the Croatian government holds 44%. (MTI – Econews)
