INA starts drilling in Syria, continues exploration

Hungarian oil and gas company MOL's Croatian unit INA on Tuesday said it started drilling at a block in Syria.

INA started drilling after its board approved the spud-in of the Beer As Sib -1 well and gave the go-ahead for exploration to continue in Syria's Aphamia Block.

The drilling operations are expected to take about 90 days.

MOL owns 47% of INA and the Croatian government holds 44%. (MTI-ECONEWS)
