Turnover on the Hungarian Power Exchange (HUPX) reached €22,336,507 in 2010, the energy bourse's first - albeit incomplete - year in operation, HUPX CEO Zoltán Medveczki told MTI.
Trade volume on the bourse reached 418,293.2 MWh or about 2.5% of country-wide consumption in 2010, Medveczki said.
Average daily trading volume rose to 3,654.7MWh in December from 2,278.2 MWh on the first day of trade on July 20.
HUPX has 22 members at present, up from ten when trade started, and the exchange is in talks with a further eight potential members, Medveczki said.
HUPX was established by transmission system operator MAVIR in May 2007. (MTI – Econews)
