Hungarian Electricity Works buys wind turbine park

The Hungarian Electricity Works (MVM) has purchased the wind turbine park of Sopronkövesd-Nagylózs, acquiring 23MW worth of renewable energy generation capacity, CEO Imre Mártha said at a press conference on Wednesday.

The park produces 18% of wind power generated electricity in Hungary.

MVM purchased Hungarowind, which operates eight wind turbines, from Raiffeisen Energiaszolgáltató. The value of the transaction was not published.

Mártha said MVM plans further purchases of wind power generators. (MTI-ECONEWS)
