State officials presented a draft of Hungary' National Renewable Energy Use Action Plan to the National Environmental Protection Council on Thursday, the National Development Ministry said.
The plan was presented by state secretary in charge of climate and energy affairs János Bencsik and deputy state secretary for the development of green economy and climate policy Péter Olajos. It aims to raise the proportion of renewable energy to 14.65% of total energy consumption by 2020, well over the 13% target for the country set by the European Union. (MTI-ECONEWS)
