Energy office calls tender on wind energy capacity

The Hungarian Energy Office (MEH ) on Friday called an invitation for applications to build 410MW of wind energy capacity, in line with its earlier proposal.

Electricity distributors Édász and Émász are to share 280MW of the wind energy capacity, while Démász, Elmű and Titász share 130MW.

MEH set the wind energy capacity for applications at 330MW in 2006. Of these applications, capacity of 175MW has already been built and a further 15MW of capacity is expected to be completed by year-end. (MTI-ECONEWS)
